CMS are recruiting for a Business Continuity Manager - Reporting to the Head of Business Continuity you will develop and maintain Business Continuity procedures, plans, and awareness in line with organisational and jurisdictional steering. Primary goal is to ensure the firm achieves operational security and stability of the highest standards during any unforeseen incident arising in the UK, CEE, and Overseas offices.

About the Role

  • Developing, updating, and executing business continuity program goals, including development and reporting against metrics and key performance indicators 
  • Working with business teams to conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and risk assessments, identify critical services, define recovery objectives, and map critical dependencies. 
  • Facilitating business continuity exercises and tests, to identify potential gaps in plans, as well as functionality of work transference processes supporting recovery. 
  • Tailor plans to regional/international offices based on local differences/requirements 
  • Participate as a member of the regional Incident Management Teams as a BC representative to respond to significant disruptive events. 
  • Ensure coordination and compliance of third-party suppliers for BC provisions. 
  • Supporting the writing and management of policy, strategy, plans, and associated documentation 
  • Participate in audits of policy and compliance to ISO standards 
  • Support in managing FusionRM platform and conducting awareness trainings. 
  • Supporting resiliency initiatives by working with stakeholders to include: facilities, business continuity, information technology, security and crisis management, health and safety, for the purpose of seamlessly integrating within the management lifecycle, as required. 
  • Support in answering client questionnaires and participating in audits (internal/external) 
  • Participate in continuous improvement programme to improve and exceed existing standards within the organisation 


About You

  • Proven working knowledge of writing assessments and/or requirements gathering 
  • Experience in leading and managing virtual project and program teams. 
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Influencing and communication skills at all levels, including Senior/Executive members 
  • Capacity to establish professional credibility quickly 
  • Detail oriented, with strong organisational skills 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Excellent leader 
  • Hands-on approach 
  • Highly developed practical problem solving 
  • Socially independent and responsible 
  • Good presentation skills 
  • Ability to undertake or facilitate training or briefing programs 
  • Ability to work under pressure and to own and control fast-developing issues 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex projects. 
  •  
  • Experience of Business Continuity Management 
  • CBCI – (Desirable), or willing to undertake BCI training and certification 
  • Experience delivering major projects and change management– (Desirable) 
  • Training or educational skills – (Desirable) 
  • 5 years working in a large corporate or professional services environment 
  • Experience of contract management
