About the Role
Our finance group is looking for an additional senior finance lawyer to join its real estate finance team. The team acts for a wide variety of domestic and international clients, including financiers, developers, real estate trusts and funds on all aspects of real estate investment financing and development financings and across all sectors including hotels, student accommodation, the private rented sector, offices, retail and logistics.

You will work with high profile clients, the opportunity to build upon the existing strong client base and develop successful relationships. The role will include leading and closing transactions with appropriate partner support, drafting and negotiating the finance documentation, supervising junior lawyers and trainees and liaising with colleagues with real estate, construction or tax expertise who will provide the due diligence and other support on those aspects.

Given the complexity of the work we anticipate that candidates will need to have the relevant experience to meet the demands of the role.
CMS is known for its strong client relationships and the successful candidate will have plenty of client contact and will be expected to be good at developing and maintaining close links with clients. Good interpersonal and consultancy skills are also essential.
